Your Opinion Matters!!
Dear Residents,
As we approach the Halloween and Bonfire Night period, we’re working closely with our community to help keep everyone safe. These celebrations can be a fun and enjoyable time for many, but they can also bring challenges — particularly around anti-social behaviour and the unsafe or illegal use of fireworks.
We want to hear from you.
If there are areas in your neighbourhood where you have noticed or have concerns about anti-social behaviour, gatherings, or unsafe activity during this time of year, please get in touch with us. Your information can help us, and our partners take proactive steps to address issues early and keep our community safe.
We’re also asking for your support in identifying any shops, individuals, or online sellers who may be selling illegal fireworks. This includes fireworks being sold without a licence or outside of legal selling periods. Any information you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence and may help prevent serious harm.
You can report information by simply replying to my WM Now message or use the following methods to report them:
Calling: 101 for Assistance and 999 for Emergency
Online via: Home | West Midlands Police
Anonymously through e.g., Crimestoppers if preferred.
Please see attached leaflets for more information around Halloween and Firework Safety.
Thank you for working with us to make this a safe and enjoyable time for everyone. Your vigilance and support play a vital role in protecting our community.
Yours sincerely, | ||
